YOU WON'T RECOGNIZE ARIZONA MUSE IN THE NEW CHANEL CAMPAIGN

 Chanel's Spring Summer 2017 ad campaign is here. 
When I first laid eyes on Chanel's latest visuals courtesy of one Karl Lagerfeld, it took me a moment to realize that Arizona Muse appears in both sets of campaign images. But perhaps that's the point. The spring/summer campaign, which echoes Chanel's "Data Centre" ready-to-wear show, is a study in contrasts. First, Muse is a "cyber punk" dressed in bold tweeds and pop-art accessories. Then, rocking a shag hair style and black lipstick, she's "pop Lolita." The images are both feminine and edgy, artful and futuristic. A closer look reveals the collection's digital influences – an embroidered jacket looks like a switchboard and a beaded choker reminds me of an LED ticker display. In a word, it's thebombdotcom.
